In early 1990, the Starbay concept was born from the legendary and classic furniture designs we salvaged from great luxury ocean liners headed for the ship breakers and India.

    As the supply inevitably dwindled, the fire within grew and we set about designing and manufactoring the highest quality desds, tables chests and trunks to capture and re-live the spirit and the legend.

    We use the noblest materials offered by nature to reflect the strength and beauty of that bygone era and echo our commitment to quality and attentions detail:
- Rosewood (grown and legged under stringent environmental controls)
- Solid brass handles, screws, looks, corners, nails and hinges.
- Hand-carved pure natural bone logos and knobs.
- And finally, a glossy seven-layer warnish, turnind this exquisite work of carpentry into a "masterpiece"...
