Survey Marketing + Consulting, the organizers of ZOW, are hosting the M TECHNOLOGY AWARD in its third round. The official partner of this year’s competition is ADI, the Italian Design Association (Associazione il Diesegno). The competition, conceived and organized by iF International Forum Design GmbH in Hannover, aims to honor outstanding supplier products on a broad international basis.


During their jury session on September 10, 2009 in Hannover, the jury members, Prof. Dipl.-Ing. Ruth Berktold (yes architecture, Munich/D), Paolo Favaretto (Favaretto & Partners, Padova/I) and Jens Kohlhase (Volkswagen AG, Wolfsburg/D), chose 20 entries from a total of 60 as recipients of the M TECHNOLOGY AWARD 2009, two of which took home a GOLD and four a SILVER award. During the jury session, a special focus was placed on the innovative strength of the products and materials submitted: “There is a clear tendency for the current innovations to concentrate on new materials and material properties in particular. But there were also some exciting detailed solutions in the running – the search for the ‘devil in the details’ seems to be becoming more important than ever before,” the jury commented.


Dr. Frank B. Müller from ZOW organizer Survey: “Among all the entries submitted, it was the small, ‘unassuming’ solutions in particular that provided for quite a few surprises. You can actually feel the enthusiasm with which these intelligent technologies were developed.”


All the award-winning submissions will be on display during the ZOW Show in Verona from October 21 to 24, 2009 as well as at the immediately following international ZOW Business Events. They can also be seen afterwards on the www.zow.info website and at the iF online exhibition at www.ifdesign.de.
