Furniture Company MERX was founded in 1993. In a short period of time the Company became a big importer of household appliances, satellite aerials, computers and furniture.

In 1997 the Company launched the production of its own office furniture of DINN series which immediately became extremely popular among the customers. In 1997 international cooperation also started: the Company began to import furniture from Italy, Spain and France. Thanks to the successful beginning Company management made an important decision: to develop own production. And thus in 1998 STUDIO appeared – a new series of office furniture.

In 1999 collection of office furniture was extended with REFERENT and ATTACHE series. Also in 1999 in summer the first kitchens under MERX trademark were produced. These were the models made of chipboard and PVC edge: TATYANA, TAIS, YULIYA, IRINA. In autumn 1999 kitchens DIANA made of MDF and KARINA with wooden frame were for the very first time presented in Kiev Furniture House.

Year 2001 was remarkable for the following events: the Company developed a totally new technology of furniture production which gave way to ARGO and OLYMPUS office systems; one of the biggest furniture centers in Kiev was opened on Solomenskaya Square; new models of kitchen units with natural wood fronts (KAROLINA, KRISTINA, VIKTORIYA, EVA, JANA) enriched kitchen collections; the Company launched production of corner sofas, convertible couches, upholstered and cabinet household furniture and hotel furniture.
The first signs of household furniture production were the models of DUKALI and DONATELLO wall units and MIMOSA bedroom. At the same time the Company launched production of BOSTON, DENVER and PREMIERE mattresses, BACCARA and BALATON convertible couches, and OTOS sofa. In the second half of 2001 the first corner sofas ANASTASIA, LAGUNA and GLORIA were produced.

Nowadays Furniture Company MERX is the biggest domestic manufacturer of furniture in Ukraine. Thanks to the high quality of furniture and competent service the Company has become a leader of office and kitchen furniture segments and one of the best manufacturers of household and hotel furniture.
